All About Event Videos

We help you understand the various aspects of making engaging promos for your events by taking informed decisions.

What should be the ideal duration of an Event Teaser Video?
Anything below 5 minutes and the viewers would be mostly grateful to you. Given the decreasing attention spans of today's viewers(including ourselves), less seems to be more. Hence keep it short and crisp.

What is the process involved in making an event video?
This is when you realize you need assistance on filming your event in a professional manner and you contact people like us. We will ask you what the event is about, its format and so on, what is the goal behind creating the promo video, the target audience and your budget.

Briefing: This is when you realize you need a corporate film and you contact people like us. We will ask you about your goal, your target audience, your time frame and your budget.

Pre-Production: Based on your brief, Rave Event Films will work out a package to meet your goal in the most cost-effective manner. This is the planning phase in which various aspects of filming the event are discussed, draft treatment is prepared and perfected, location recce is carried out by the film crew, number of cameras to be used is decided, shoot dates are fixed and so on.

Production:The plan created in the previous phase is put into motion in the Production stage. Equipment is brought-in and its position is fixed. Large events require a combination of stationary as well as mobile camera teams. Stationary cameras are focused on fixed action such as speakers, podium or stage, presentation slides, performances etc. The mobile camera team covers the entire event venue filming the crowd, interviews, reactions, demos etc.
The video crew comprises of at least 5 people including videographers, lightmen, technical director, line producer etc. The video shoot may start much earlier than the actual event itself to film the built-up to the event such as set construction, crowd entry, registration etc.

Post-Production: The final phase in creating the film, Post-Production involves editing of the footage captured, creation of graphics and animation, music composition, voice-over dubbing if required and color correction. This iterative process results in different intermediate 'cuts' of the film - from rough cut to the final cut - that are shared with the client for feedback and revised until the final film is created.

How much does it cost to film an Event?
A good-quality professionally executed corporate event shoot costs anything between Rs. 2.5 to 3 lakhs. This is just a ballpark figure to help you plan. The ultimate cost depends on several factors like number of days of shoot, travel, type of equipment ordered, music, amount of computer graphics & animation and most importantly the quality you are looking at.

How much time does it take to make the event promo video?
Typically 2 weeks but again depends on what the film is about, quality and how much footage is captured. We have delivered films in 5 days as well as 5 weeks time.
